Shirley Hambelton

Shirley Hambelton is a Managing Director and serves as General Counsel with Benefit Street Partners and is based in our New York office.

Prior to joining BSP in 2019, Ms. Hambelton was an Associate in the asset management group at Ropes & Gray LLP, advising private equity, credit, venture and other asset managers on a broad range of fund formation and regulatory matters.

Ms. Hambelton received a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University.
