James Algar

James Algar is a Managing Director and the European Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Risk with Benefit Street Partners, based in our London office.

Prior to joining BSP in 2003, Mr. Algar was an Associate Director in the transaction management team at Barclays Capital. Before that, he was in the specialized financing support area at HSBC Investment Bank.

Mr. Algar holds the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments Diploma in Investment Compliance.
